Throughout Michigan State owned lands there are designated trails and riding areas for atv, and orv's - St. Helen's Motorsport Area, Black Lake, Silver lake State Park and Bull Gap (Huron National Forest) and the Mounds (Genessee County Park). In Michigan unless you are at a private track or trail system, you may only ride on the State trail systems specifically designated for orvs/atvs (non licensed).
Michigan's Upper Penninsula is a little different. You can ride on all state forest roads and designated trail systems unless the Road itself is posted restricted.
